The Concord-Carlisle Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a group of 30 volunteers whose goal it is to provide short-term emergency financial assistance to Concord and Carlisle neighbors through trusting, empathetic, and confidential connections. We’ve been established in the Concord area for more than 50 years.
Although we assist 50 local households each year, the confidential nature of our interactions means that there is little awareness of our work in the community. To address this problem we are reaching out to the Concord and Carlisle communities with a public campaign to
- Make sure that our neighbors-in-need know about our services
- Encourage new volunteers for our conference
- Solicit donations to fund our assistance programs
The 2023 campaign kicked off on the weekend of September 23-24 with presentations at Holy Family and Saint Irene’s parishes. We also initiated a fund-raising campaign that weekend. As an extra incentive, our generous volunteers offered to match the first $10,500 donated during this Fall fund drive.
There is still time to contribute to the fund drive. Donations enable us to quickly respond to requests for assistance in paying critical household bills such as food, utilities and rent. Please consider donating to this worthy cause. We use 99% of the money raised to help those in need. You can donate by check or online. Click the button below for more information.
