From time to time people ask us if they can donate a used car to help Saint Vincent de Paul. Unfortunately the Concord-Carlisle Conference is not able to accept a car donation, but we are excited to share that we are now working with Second Chance Cars (www.secondchancecars.org)  in a program that will allow us to better support local families.  Increasingly, neighbors are expressing their need for simple basic transportation to get to/from work and unlock income opportunities they cannot now access. Second Chance Cars is an innovative non-profit organization located right here in Concord that accepts donated cars, provides a very competitive tax deduction, refurbishes those cars with the aid of local vocational schools and awards the cars to people in need.

If you have a gently used car that you can donate, know someone who may have one, or have questions about this, please call the St. Vincent de Paul Society ‘hotline’ at 978-369-7442, extension 229. One of our volunteers will call you back. Your support can help a local Concord/Carlisle family in need of a car.
