As president of the Concord-Carlisle chapter of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Holy Family Parish churches in Concord and Carlisle for graciously welcoming us this past weekend.
The St. Vincent de Paul Society is an international Catholic organization dedicated to helping individuals in need — regardless of faith, background, or personal circumstances. Our Concord-Carlisle chapter provides short-term assistance to local residents during times of crisis. As the local organization in our area providing the greatest amount of direct financial support to individuals, we help neighbors with urgent needs such as food, shelter, utilities, health care, transportation, and more.
So far this year, our chapter has supported nearly 80 families, providing over $121,000 in aid — a testament to both the growing need in our community and the generosity of those who support our mission.
We know there are more neighbors in need. Do you know someone who could use a helping hand? Would you like to learn more about our work, volunteer your time, or make a donation?
Please visit our website at svdpconcordcarlisle.org to find out more and help make a meaningful difference for our neighbors when they need it most.
