Increasingly, our neighbors in Concord and Carlisle are expressing their need for simple basic affordable transportation to get to/from work and unlock income opportunities they cannot now access. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul in the Concord-Carlisle Collaborative has partnered with Second Chance Cars, an innovative local non-profit organization in Concord that refurbishes used cars with the help of vocational high school students. The cars are then awarded, at a nominal price, to people in Concord and Carlisle that need but cannot afford a car to get to work. SCC provides donors with a competitive tax deduction.
If you are a resident of Concord or Carlisle, are in need of a car to get, keep or grow your job, and cannot afford one, please leave a message on our Hotline or send us an email. If you do not live in Concord or Carlisle and need a car, please visit the Second Chance Cars website for a list of organizations who may be able to help you.
